Everything about setting up AppCoreX, adding a portal, the free trial, short codes, and fixing common issues.

Getting started

What is AppCoreX?
AppCoreX is an open media player for your TV, box, and phone. It plays the portals and playlists you add yourself, including MAG / Stalker, M3U, and Xtream sources. It installs completely empty, with no built-in channels or content. You bring your own.
How do I add my portal or playlist?
Open the app, go to Settings, then Portals, then Add via Web. Your TV shows a MAC, a 4-digit KEY, a web address, and a QR code. On your phone or laptop, open that web address or scan the QR, log in with the MAC and KEY, choose your portal type (Xtream, M3U, or Stalker), enter the details, and submit. The TV picks up the portal automatically within a few seconds. No restart is needed.

Devices and requirements

Which devices does AppCoreX support?
Android TV and Google TV devices (Mi Box, Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, and Android-based smart TVs from brands like Sony, TCL, and Hisense), generic Android TV boxes (X96, H96, MeCool, and similar ARM boxes), Fire TV and Fire Stick (installed manually via APK), and Android phones and tablets. It does not support iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or non-Android TVs such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, and Roku. An iOS version is in the works.
What are the minimum requirements?
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer, an ARM processor (arm64-v8a or armeabi-v7a), at least 1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB or more recommended), about 100 MB of free storage, and an active internet connection. The app scales from 480p up to 4K automatically. For the smoothest playback, use an Android 10 or newer box with 2 GB of RAM and hardware HEVC / H.265 decoding.

Pricing, trial, and content

Is AppCoreX free? Is there a subscription?
The app is free to download as a direct APK (it is not on the Play Store). Every fresh install starts with a free trial. After the trial ends, the app needs to be activated with a subscription. The subscription is only for the app license. Any content you play is supplied separately by you or your content provider.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. A free trial activates automatically on a fresh install, with all features unlocked, including Live TV, Movies, Series, Radio, and Multi Screen. The default length is 7 days and can be adjusted remotely. A small countdown banner shows how many days are left. When the trial ends, an activation screen appears with your device details and instructions.
Does the app come with any channels or content?
No. AppCoreX installs completely empty, with no preloaded channels, movies, or playlists. It is only a player, similar to VLC or MX Player. You add your own content, usually a portal or playlist you obtained from your own content provider or reseller. AppCoreX does not own, host, or distribute any channels or content, and responsibility for what is added rests with the user.
What is the refund policy?
There is no automatic refund inside the app. If you bought your subscription from a reseller, request any refund directly from that reseller. Direct purchases are reviewed by the AppCoreX team on a case-by-case basis. See the Refund Policy on our Legal page for full details.

Resellers and short codes

How many devices can I use, and can one portal run on more than one TV?
The number of devices allowed per subscription is set by your reseller or by the AppCoreX team, and is commonly between 1 and 3. Whether a single portal can run on more than one TV at the same time depends on your content provider's connection limit, not the app. Many portals allow only one connection at a time. If you need more, ask your provider for a multi-connection portal.
What is a short code and how do I use it?
A short code is a small code you can type in place of a full portal URL. It saves you from entering a long address, username, and password. Open the app, go to Settings, then Connection To Portals, choose your portal type, and enter the short code in the URL field. The app fetches the real portal details in the background and loads your channels, so you never see the underlying URL. You get the short code from the reseller or seller you bought from. If the reseller later changes the URL, the same short code keeps working.
How do I become a reseller?
Contact the AppCoreX team to get set up. Resellers get their own panel where they can activate customer devices using the MAC and KEY, add portals or playlists directly without exposing the URL to the customer, generate short codes, and manage their own pricing and customers. Visit the Reseller and Support page to get in touch.

Troubleshooting

My channels are not loading. What should I do?
Check your internet connection first. Then fully close the app and open it again, since the portal refreshes on a fresh launch. If it still fails, go to Settings, Portals, long-press the portal, and toggle it Disable then Enable. If the portal has expired, contact your provider or reseller to renew it.
Why is the video buffering or freezing?
Buffering is usually a connection issue. Check your internet speed: aim for at least 5 Mbps for HD and 15 Mbps or more for 4K. You can also switch the player engine (try the VLC engine from the Change Player option in Live TV) or change the player skin in Settings. Adjusting the aspect ratio can clear a temporary stall as well.
I see "MAC and KEY do not match" when adding a portal.
Enter the MAC and KEY exactly as shown on your TV. The MAC includes colons, for example 00:1A:79:9C:78:92, and the KEY is the 4 digits on screen. If they still do not match, the values may have refreshed on the TV, so reopen the Add via Web screen to get the current ones.
I activated my subscription but still see the activation screen.
Press Refresh Status on the activation screen. Activation is usually detected automatically within a few seconds. If it still does not unlock, restart the app and make sure you are on the same device you activated.

Updates and support

How are updates handled?
AppCoreX is not on the Play Store, so it does not update through the store. Instead it has a built-in updater that checks for a new version when it opens. If one is available, a card appears at the top with the new version number, and selecting it downloads the APK directly from the official AppCoreX server. To install, allow the one-time "Install unknown apps" permission on Android. Important releases can be made mandatory, in which case the app asks you to update before continuing.
How do I get support?
You can reach us on WhatsApp, Telegram, or email. WhatsApp and Telegram are usually fastest, with replies within a few hours during business hours, and email within about a day. If you bought through a reseller, contact your reseller first, since they support their own customers directly. Full contact details are on the Reseller and Support page.

Still need a hand?

If you bought from a reseller, message them first. Otherwise reach our desk directly.
